Default The Cranberries??

This might seem like a dumb question, but since they don't really get radio play, can the Cranberries be classified as indie rock?

They got loads of radio play in the mid-90s and as far as I'm aware they weren't on an independent label.

Why does the genre matter? Writing an article of some sort?

They never officially split up. I like their early stuff but they just got more poppy after that.

I recently became a Cranberries fan. I think it was after watching Click lol. Linger is in that movie and I just loved it.
