Instead of "Those are posers", I'm going to say, "Those are people who have only listened to the singles on the radio, and call themselves fans based on no more than a handful of songs at most, without ever buying an album or listening to any of the dozens of other songs." And I'm not generalizing, although I'm sure there's tons of people out there with any given artist... I was writing with a few people in mind in particular that I went to school with back in the day.

There's only a couple songs on that album I'm not crazy about. All the rest I can listen to over and over, I love it.

I figure that's what you meant but if all they hear is the singles on the radio and they like 'em enough to feel that they are fans then so be it. It just seems like you are splitting hairs but if you want to do that then fine and those few people that you are talking about you know them more than me obviously so you may have a point/reason for splitting hairs that way.

At 120 mins its a very long listen and could have benefitted from being released as two seperate albums, much like Opeths Deliverance/Damnation or SOAD Mezmerize/Hypnotize. I think Stadium Arcadium is a good album but does suffer from its length.

I dunno, when I listened through Stadium Arcadium the first time, I wasn't that big of a fan. Does anyone agree that most of the tracks on there (a few exceptions, but no matter) lack the sort of Chili Peppers passion as earlier albums?

By The Way felt so genuine and heartfelt and strong, but SA just sort of fell flat to me. Great album overall, and much better than a lot of music out there, but it was sort of tame compared to previous releases. Maybe I'm just crazy?

I got my hands on the new album. Haven't listened much yet, but it's not too shabby so far.
