I actually think Kiedis' earlier vocals were a lot better anyway. When he started thinking he could sing was right about when the Chili Peppers jumped the shark IMO.

that's totally fair too, glad to see you're able to recognize the difference in their attitudes as they progressed as well. there are far too many people who still try playing them off as passionate artists while they're resting on their laurels and going through the motions just because they prefer the later material.

Early RHCP is my favorite by them. I still love their newer stuff, but their old stuff and the energy in their music was insane. Hillel IMO was the best guitarist they had and Irons the best drummer.

Flea is what made me really fall in love with RHCP. I love their old material but I don't look down on their newer stuff like other people here do.
