I thought Stadium Arcadium was better than By The Way as an overall album, in some ways. By The Way had some good songs on it, but the new one has some pretty catchy ones. Snow is relaxxxing.

stadium was really crappy, but why does everyone rip on by the way and californication all the time? i find them great listens.

It's not just those two, IMHO they haven't put out a good album in 19 years.

Okay, that's absolute rubbish. Even if you hated everything they produced in the last decade, Blood Sex Sugar Magik was a great, great album, and it got them out there. It was in the heyday of grunge and along came RHCP, a band that could actually carry a tune without looking like a bunch of hobos that got waylaid by a city bus.

I personally hated By The Way, but I liked Californication and Stadium Arcadium enough. At the very least, Californication could be called good. Maybe not spectacular, but certainly a worthwhile accomplishment.
