John is a guitar god
And another random fact that makes him so great is that he did the back up vocals on the By the way Album and to me the back up vocals made the album what it is. And about metallica people are stupid And don’t get real metallica fans |

Frusciante is a great backup vocalist... check out his cover of How Deep Is Your Love on youtube. There are a few version floating around, but there's one really good one.

John Mayer is actually a great guitarist, as is evident from live videos. The thing is that he insists on doodling around in bluesy guitar pop rather than reaching his full potential. Having said that, I haven't listened to his newer albums which I've heard are less poppy. Nevertheless, I still enjoy Room For Squares... his bassist is rather good.

Let's rank their albums now... for me:
BSSM > OHM > MM > Cali > BTW > SA = FS > TUMPP > S/T I like One Hot Minute a lot and I think By the Way is very underrated. I'm still not completely decided about Stadium Arcadium.
