True, but some bands can take influence from their peers, and even bands that came after them.

Yes, that's true. I've just never heard of that connection. I've heard that RHCP influenced Mr Bungle, but not Faith No More. There are some who say that Anthony Kiedis ripped of Mike Patton's vocal style (which is amusing).

Really?

I dont hear any similarites with the vocals, just everything else.

Well i have heard Mike Patton say some very good things about them and how much they mean them, but maybe it was Mr. Bungle, i dunno.

I guess those people are referring to Mike Patton's rapped vocals (i.e. Epic).

I like both RHCP and Faith No More and I'd say it's pretty likely that they influenced each other.

That's certainly possible... The Beach Boys and The Beatles were keeping a close watch on what each other were doing at the time.... Rubber Soul influenced Pet Sounds, which in turn influenced Sgt Peppers.

Default New Chili Peppers Single

What does everyone think of the new chili's single, Dani California? I am a big Chili peppers fan and I think it is some of thier best material to date. The video is wicked too. Looking forward to the new album!! From what I've heard it could be their best yet!

I downloaded my copy of Dani yesterday when it was released from tunetribe.com. Anyone who hasn't checked that site out yet really should do- its an alternative to itunes and napster but I personally prefer it. The sound quality of the mp3's are perfect, the site is easy to use and good value for money too. Theres also recommendations and interviews with top artists. If you download music its worth a visit.

No doubt! None-the-less, I personally favor Faith no More. Don't get me wrong, I'm love Chili Peppers' music but I've heard Faith No More cover a couple of harder rock songs, rap some vocals, etc. and their flexability in music is awesome!
