But they're still really great! I attempted covering them on the harp... not one of my best but it was definitely extremely tricky!

holy smokes... 'not one of my best' my arse... start a thread and post more! It's great to hear modern music on harp. That's new on me. Well done.

I have gotten into them because they have a concert over here and I wanted to get familiar with the band (aside from their biggest hits). Listened through their discography, and they have some absolutely awesome albums and songs. I like their funky stuff a lot, Mother's Milk is a really good album.

I like them. Have most of their albums and greatest hits too but nothing post Californication. (I kind of zoned out from 2000s music and began to pursue more of 60s, 70s & 80s).

Give it away introduced me to them. Not sure where... probably MTV or VH1 or a friend but a decade back I heard them a lot... now once in a while.

That sounds great. I'm only vaguely familiar with the original but it's fair to say you've done it justice. Nicely done!

Mother's Milk, BloodSugarSexMagic (which the name was inspired by Aleister Crowley I think) and Californication are their best. Not big on them anymore. I did see them in concert. They were alright. Was standing right in front of John Frusciante and he looked like he was having an orgasm while playing guitar the whole way through. That was great.

Californication is mediocre in everything but a poppy sense, I kinda appreciate that in a way, like I appreciate Nirvana's Nevermind. Difference is that Nirvana compromised very little of their sound to produce the amazing pop album that was Nevermind. Their first album through BSSM blows that underwhelming, bore-ass pop crap away, because Kiedis is a horrendous singer, he shouldn't try to sing. If I wanted to hear an entire album of songs that sound exactly like Under The Bridge, maybe I'd be more interested in the post-BSSM stuff.

The latest album, though, was a joke.
