Yeah, certainly a lot of one's music tastes can depend on the circumstances of one's life, or one can simply become saturated with a style and find that there's little more to gain from it.
I've heard KMFDM mentioned a million times and still haven't listened to them yet. They're definitely near the top of my list. I've heard one of TKK's early albums, Kooler Than Jesus, and it was alright ("Devil Bunnies" was kind of clever, haha).
