I just bought the old The Used cd, I don't like the new one at all. The old cd has better lyrics and sound.

I am a fan of the older more screamo stuff such as choke me and box full of sharp objects so for anyone like me who enjoyed the harder songs this cd will definitely dissapoint you. If you liked the noise and kisses and blue and yellow type songs you'll love it. The main thing I didn't like was how Bert can actually sing really good now and his screaming on the new album which is scarce and far between is not half as good as on the first album.
As a long time Used fan..well.. all of 4 years:P I totally agree... I got the cd as soon as it came out, and after hearing Take It Away, i was expecting something really good... Its very differnt... but there are about 5 or 6 tracks on there that are gold.

However, nothing compares to the Self Titled cd... that was simply incredible. Im still yet to find a song that effects me more then "The Taste Of Ink"

What CD are you listening to?

I've heard maybe one or two tracks that was comparible to the worst songs on their self titled CD

What a disappointment. I wanted "The taste of ink - the album" I got a poorly done pop-punk album with a bit of screaming. I went to see them in concert last week, however, and that experience is still as good as ever.

In Love and Death is a solid, solid offering... the song-writing and musicality is mint, and so is the production. the bass is ridiculously tight on this album... it makes me angry, actually.

Top songs period? Or in comparison to their old CD? I dont think any of the songs you listed have anything on the self titled CD

Neither do I... to compare, lets say... "Let It Bleed" to "The Taste Of Ink" is a crime... "The Taste Of Ink"... is one of the most amazing songs I have ever heard. Im simply saying that for a cd, those songs are listed are pretty decent. But as you say, they dont compare to anything on the self titled. Although Sound Effect and Overdrammatics and Take It Away are up there..
