Loved it back in the day, but now admit that it's terrible and their worst album.

You've obviously never heard Van Halen III.

Van Halen was my youth. I have all their albums. III is boss compared to DD.

My first - that I personally chose was ZZ Top's Eliminator followed closely by Quiet Riot's Metal Health.

Eliminator is a great album to start out with

Then metal one was the mighty Reign In Blood.
