Well you could still understand it, and I value spelling over correct punctuation on an internet forum. I am not writing an essay. I also don't appreciate a patronising tone, which your comment came across. What does it really matter, it's not 101 English.
On a lighter note, where on earth have half of those genres come from? Some of them sound way out of it!

If an artist crosses genres, how do you label them?
Example, what genre is Bowie?

i would just class Bowie as a rock artist personally. That's the reason for this thread-too many genres! I stick with as few genres as possible. It simplyfies things. The indie scene is even more diverse than the metal scene, yet there are very few genres there. Maybe it's an age thing. As you get older all that matters is the music, not what genre it is.
Bowie IS awesome, he has consistently made interesting and varied albums. A very talented guy.

I would've put Bowie in rock too (if I had to), but with albums like Earthling, you couldn't say he's strictly rock but bah to genres in general. It's music. You like some, you don't like some. People should spend less time b!tching about what it should be labelled as and more time actually listening to it.
