^^^^^

The Fratellis are great on the first few listens, but I tired of them quickly.

The Kooks-good first album-but hardly original really is it?

I am starting to despair now!

Rosetta are goood.. not so sure about the split with Balboa though.

Some great new british bands..

Flatlands - post-metal i guess.. think Neurosis soundscapes with Khanate-esque vocals. the entire band and all their songs are based on the bleak, grim, grey atmospheric landscape of the british fens.

The Pirate Ship Quintet - beautiful classical-influenced post-rock septet (no not a quintet despite the name).. like a more powerful A Silver Mt Zion. stunning stuff.

Aotea - strangely lovable. spazzy-jazzy-indie-casiogrind with post-rock influences. got to hear it to uderstand..

They alll have awesome CDs out.

To clarify, they're not anything like The Number 12 Looks Like You regardless of how much that description sounds like them.

Dunno how long they've been around but i've just discovered Gothminister. If you like Industrial/Goth then have a listen to Monster on Youtube.
