Korn's drummer is NOTHING special.
I play mainly guitar and I'M a better drummer than he'll ever be.

Not at all.
You obviously don't play the drums.
Either that or you just suck at it and are impressed by anyone who plays the least bit better than you.

killebyanangel 09-16-2004 04:06 PM

danny carey of tool is a musical phenom ... even though the sound of james hetfields voice bugs the crap outa me, you have to respect the musical abilities of metalica especially lars on drums ...

tatyana 09-16-2004 04:23 PM

matt sorum's pretty good, one of my fav drummers

Thank YOU for knowing good music and good sense.
You should try letting other take a big breath of whatever you cough up.
Hopefully good musical taste is contageous.

venomx 09-18-2004 09:20 PM

i think the best drummer ever is nick cannon from drumline...j/k
joey from slipknot is the bets drummer ever

Jok3r 09-18-2004 09:51 PM

Lars from metallica without a doubt or arguement, argue if you want to. And the drummer from slip is prob on acid like 80% of the time... but ya he can play really fast and some okay beats, but the music slip played is just fast, they have very simple music...

riseagainstrocks 09-19-2004 12:33 PM

Do you guys even check out the other bands recommended with good drummers? Or are you that close minded! If you want amazing drumming check out: Cryptosy, Between The Buried And Me, Discordance Axis, Shadows Fall, old Underoath, or Unearth. All have drummers that blow Slipknot crap outta the water.

im hoping so cause im tired of turning on the radio and hearing the same pseudo-punk/cookie cutter b.s. "music". its awful. watched the mtv music awards, sad but true, and saw variations of the same thing every time some one would perform or win an award. horrendous. whatever happened to the day of decent music ....

gregb 09-22-2004 12:56 PM

no one can touch buddy rich even to this day

I agree I am getting sick of all the slipknot fans thinking the band is talented, they just aren't, learn some music theory and you'll find they are basicly playing the difficulty of mary mary had a lamb, just really fast. However, lars is good, but definately not the best, c'mon. I want to see someone do a left hand roll faster than buddy rich.

phaedra 09-24-2004 07:53 AM

i think it's anders from nasum

Kali 09-24-2004 10:35 AM

No doubt Dino from dystopia. He is also the lead singer. Its insane.

Having an opinion that differs from yours is now considered having an "elitist attitude"?
Try picking up that dictionary next time your in school.
OR try reading and responding to the proper thread.

And if I ever DID decide to have an attitude of the sort, I'VE EARNED IT.
I've made something of my life, take care of my family, and serve my country.

Maybe you should try earning the right to thinking YOU'RE the shit by doing something worth while instead of bashing others for their outlook and their character.

IF YOU WANT TO FEEL YOU'RE BETTER THAN OTHERS, GO AHEAD, but you damn well better have a good reason for thinking you are better than most.

penelly 09-27-2004 10:19 AM

uhh..... how about joey jordison????

why does everyone forget slipknot, and all the work he puts into the band....???

maybe its just me??

WeCameToRock 09-27-2004 11:27 AM

First of all, Pit_bull, talk about not on the right thread, I dont think this is the right place to talk about your family and military service, lol. Secondly, If you had read the rest of it you would have seen that everyone was just talking about Slipknot, Penelly.

Personally, I think you guys obviously dont know alot about modern drummers. The fact that Niel Peart from Rush and Mike Portnoy from Dream Theatre/ Liquid Tension Experiment are not mentioned here is a shame. Please listen to these bands before saying that Slipknot and Korn have good drummers.

He's about hte ONLY talent in the entire band.
I would SO respect him if he ever decided to start a real band with real musicians.

fraternityweb 09-30-2004 05:20 PM

mike portnoy of dreame thearte is one of the tightest, most amazing drummers around!

ZerO 10-02-2004 07:45 PM

one of the best drummers has to be Dave Grohl, Nirvana, FooFighters, ProBot.

penelly 10-03-2004 10:32 AM

uhh, bad taste!!!

P.S: please dont forget to respect others taste in music. You have the right to listen to any kind of music, even country, that can not be my problem. But please stop dissing those who listen to an other kind of music than you!!

penelly 10-03-2004 10:38 AM
