i think its a matter of tastes. in my opinion, i like drummers who can play fast and not stop and play like that through their shows. so my nominee would be Byron McMackin from Pennywise. He's really gotten better through the years. He fits my likings when it comes to drums.

A. I hate slipknot B. Jordison is a great drummer C. He's won jazz championships when he was in high school. While this doesn't mean hes a superstar, you don't win statewide drummer titles in, of all things, jazz by being a slouch. He is good and just because you don't like Slipknot doesn't mean he sucks. I agree with Danny, lars, Neal (obviously), Bonham, I think keith moon should be thrown in as well as Carter Beauford from DMB. Ill reiterate, you may not like DMB, but thats not the question raised. Hes a good drummer. I do not agree with chad smith or the guy from Korn, though the first korn album didn't have such poor drumming, but his wrist injuries left him for dead. Max Cavalah is often touted as great, I think the guy from mudvayne is rather good and Ill agree that travis (blink-182, boxcar racer, transplants) is rock solid. If I have forgotten anyone, my apologies. |
