Kreator is thrash, not death.
You've got aa pretty good list there already. Add; Necrophagist Death Nile Deicide And if you're into melo death; Amon Amarth Dark Tranquility Arch Enemy In Flames At the Gates (never heard anything from them, but they are supposednly good, and they did take part in pioneering the melodic death metal genre) Opeth |

Opeth is Progressive Death Metal, but either way they should be on that list. Also add the Doom/Death bands:
Anathema My Dying Bride Novembers Doom. Other bands that should be on that list: Behemoth Therion (Early) Orphaned Land Paradise Lost (Early) And I can't think of any more at the moment. |

Death is the best death metal band. Bolt Thrower is amazing. |

Death/Doom is a style that mixes death metal with doom. It's like doom metal with death metal vocals.

Death/doom isn't really separate at all. Bands like Asphyx, Katatonia(early), My Dying Bride, Mourning Beloveth that have a lot of death metal in them should be able to be in any dm list. Funeral or Drone doom, on the other hand, should not. And I'll disagree with you on that statement about Death. |

They're still seperate genre's. If you're saying they're not thats like saying Classic Metal and Black Metal are an a like genre becasue they share the drums. True, they're 'a like' but completely different genre's. Surely, we've got cross-over bands, and things. Such as COB. What do you class them as? They've become a mixture of 3-4 genre's, imo. Basically I'm saying, all genre's share simularity's, they're still different genre's, correct? Doom is not Death. |
