Old school obituary is tight. I couldn't put every dm band on that list, a lot of really good ones are missing.

Krabathor, Ripping Corpse, Disincarnate and Baphomet are horribly under rated.

Krabathor kinda sucks but those other three bands are awesome. Especially Disincarnate.

some of those are really well known bands in some metal circles, and not so well known in others.

I've never understood the big deal about Deathevokation, they sound nothing like old school swedish death metal. When I think of swedish DM, I think of Hypocrisy, Grave, Dismember etc. Deathevokation sounds like Hypocrisy's third album; which was a melodeath snoozefest

I absolutely love Deathevokation. They definitely aren't pure Swedish old school dm, but the influence is definitely there. And there's not an ounce of melodeath in The Chalice of Ages, so i really don't know where that came from.
