You know what I hate? Greenday are an incredibly talented band. I've heard people say that Billy Joe only got famous off power chords, but my drum tutor saw him back in 1989 or something and said he was incredible. That he absolutely shredded up the frets. Of course I'm not surprised, seeing as he learnt with Satriani but still. Tre Cool is an awesome drummer as well.
Now Billy doesn't do any solos or showing of because it's not "Punk". It still doesn't mean he's not a good guitarist, listen to his rhythm, it's great. I'm sad that they wouldn't release material showing their full potential. |

that is a very truthful thing....I agree they have the poitental but ...well i guess you could say they are "kinda" holding themselves back because of the "punk" thing that they have going but then again they are a pretty inspiring band to young adults and has a big effect on teens and young adults to have a role model.....so i guess you could say its good but bad at the same time...
