Why don't they choose all their best songs and put them on 1 cd and then make a crappy b-sides cd for hardcore fans. Instead of making 3 crappy albums they could make 1 average album.

You know what I hate? Greenday are an incredibly talented band. I've heard people say that Billy Joe only got famous off power chords, but my drum tutor saw him back in 1989 or something and said he was incredible. That he absolutely shredded up the frets. Of course I'm not surprised, seeing as he learnt with Satriani but still. Tre Cool is an awesome drummer as well.

Now Billy doesn't do any solos or showing of because it's not "Punk". It still doesn't mean he's not a good guitarist, listen to his rhythm, it's great.

I'm sad that they wouldn't release material showing their full potential.

Curious, why don't many of you like the American Idiot cd? From what I see, that's the most popularized one. Is it just because once again the media has made all the real fans sick of the songs from over playing them, or did you all just not like the different sound? I actually loved the AI cd.

That has nothing to do with it. It has to do with the fact that it's extremely hard to hate America when you're making millions of dollars through their capitalistic system like Green Day is. You can't spend millions of dollars on music videos, live in huge mansions, and say "**** America." It's extremely trendy and hypocritical. Eminem did the exact same thing.

[FONT="Franklin Gothic Medium"]Ah, I uderstand. Yes I was a little angry about that political statement. They shouldn't have directedd it at America because not all Americans are that way and also our country has done more than Canada ever will for the world, but I don't really feel like getting into a political dicussion. However, am I right by thinking that that song was directed at all the people who were sick of how hateful, ignorant and lazy people have become? Is that the only reason that you dislike them,Acratertocoffin?
