I thought the sixth interval was considered by the old Catholic church to be evil, because six is the ostensible number of the Devil.

A 6th is 8 or 9 (depending on Major or Minor) half steps from one note to another.

C to Ab = minor 6th
C to A = Major 6th


a tritone is 6 half steps

C to Gb = Tritone

play them on the piano to hear the difference.
