/derail

But his previous works were the Bible and in the Bible it says he is perfect.

I can say "I hate TMNT" and still be a fan and collect the comic books while hating what is currently happening in the series. Just as one can be a fan of God's previous works but disapprove of his current direction. One can hope that God gets back on track and thus follow him while having grounds to commit blasphemy.

False.

Perfection is always perfect. Therefore if you believe that God was at one time perfect, than he cannot ever not be perfect.

As cool as TMNT is, it's not perfect.

Liking something and believing it to be perfect are different things. Nowhere in any of my statements did I imply that liking him implied you believed he is/was perfect, simply because that idea is silly. You can like something and believe it is far from perfect, you can also like things for different reasons. One could believe that The Bible is a great work of fiction produced by God and thus like God as a writer.

Once he dropped the band and started doing pop music he lost all his cred. Too bad. He had potential.

That doesn't make sense to "like" God's works. If you believe in the concept of a God at all, that means you are attributing perfection to him. That's the definition. You can like the Bible by all means. But if you believe God wrote it (or if it was divinely inspired) then I can't see how you can justify his existence but not his perfection.
