Ok thank you!

Stoner was overshadowed by grunge so I can understand why you missed out the first time, but you got alot of catching up. You got good advice so far. I'd start with Kyuss - Blues for the Red Sun, Fu Manchu - The Action is Go, Sleep Holy Mountain, Monster Magnet - The Spine of God, Orange Goblin - Time Traveling Blues. Electric Wizard is really out there. Very heavy and distorted. I suggest High on Fire - Art of Self Defense, and if you like that, get into Wizard. If you're hooked after this, move onto Acid Kings - Busse Woods, YOB - Use Your Illusion, Sleep - Jeruselem, Kyuss - Welcome to Sky Valley, Orange Goblin - Frequencies from Planet 10 and Solace - Further.

If you like the heavier side of things I've just discovered Noothgrush. They are mindnumbingly heavy. One reviewer of 'Erode The Person', their latest album, jokingly said he had to go outside about halfway through and let his body re-inflate.

Classic stoner riff stuff, but dropped down a few bars creating a very thick sludge. Ragged vocals everynow and again if that swings anyone one way or the other. Bongzilla like.

I love the heavy stuff. The reason I never investigated "Stoom" is because I didn't really get into Doom metal untill like 5 months ago. I didn't really know how to listen to music correctly untill last April 19th (Yes I marked it on my calendar.) So yeah I think that I have investigated a lot since then.

Blood is Truth

I've posted this a couple times before but this is an essential blog for all fans of the lumbering heavies! ADD IT TO YOUR FAVOURITES NOW!

Noothgrush is about half way down beneath the large animation of Borat, theres bound to be some Boris, check the other archives too.

I recommend getting yourselves some Truckfighters stuff, under the "Katie Holmes" post, not exactly doom but it's definitely great fuzzy riff rock, they're a well regarded band. Theres heaps of awesome shit there if you know what your looking for.

And the most recent post is of a dude from New Zealand, exciting!
