In some cases, old production is kind of a necessity, or at least to some people, when it comes to Tr00 Black Metal. I see nothing wrong with having a little extra production done..... except in one case with Cradle of Filth, but they aren't really black metal so never mind.

Kreator and Slayer are both two of my favorite bands!

However, if I had to choose which I prefered, I'd have to give the nod to Kreator. Sure they were influenced by Slayer and Venom both! What Thrash bands from the 80s weren't? However, Kreator added their own spice to the mix and made their own sound that IMHO trumped Slayers.

However, if we're talking about who is the best Thrash band ... IMO it's Sodom - hands down!!!

We can see similarities but this isn't strange... They have the same influences... (like Venom and many others...)

The one other thing they both share in common is that neither have particularly developed at all in 20+ years. Which is really quite appalling, and even more embarrassing.
