Trauma 04-02-2007 07:17 AM

I think Unearth still does a good job of keeping their breakdowns interesting. Anyone have III: In The Eyes Of Fire?

Trauma 04-10-2007 07:10 AM

Unearth has a breakdown at 2' in every fucking song on one of their old albums, and they don't differ too much on their new stuff either.

All these breakdowns start with the singer saying some 'badass' metaphorical line that he probably thought up sitting in his bunk bed, followed by the guitarists nodding to each other and stressing the same old lame syncopated rhythm.

Although that's pretty much how it is with any breakdown, give or take snare entrance.

so true, for the most part.

If you listen to their new album, they try to mix them up a little bit. Compared to most metalcore bands their breakdowns are more interesting.
