I love a bit of Bruce. Saw him on the TV the other night, what a nice guy.

...I'm a big Springsteen fan from way back...and I agree...seeing him live...especially the first time...was probably the best show I've been to... this is one of my favourite Springsteen songs...If I Should Fall Behind...I love this video with the whole band taking turns at the mic...

*******

now Everyone dreams of a Love lasting and true...
...but You and I know what this world can do
so let's make Our steps clear so the Other may see...
...I'll wait for You
should I fall behind...
...wait for me

Got to see him live many times. Family friend was his personal trainer so used that as ways to get to sold out shows and back stage.
See him around here once in a while.

Nebraska is with out question my favorite album.

...I've only seen him twice...many years apart...I agree...Nebraska is a classic...

...a wonderful...heart-felt version of This Land Is Your Land...

I've roamed and rambled and I've followed my footsteps...
...to the sparkling sands of her diamond deserts
and all around me a voice was sounding...
...this land was made for You and me

I really love the whole album. One of the few albums I have that I can listen to it from begining to end with out skipping one song.

Nebraska is that good huh? Its one of the few I haven't listened to. Can you give me a few to check out? I've heard "this land is your land" (if thats from it) but it was on the live in '79 disc.

"This Land is Your Land" isn't on Nebraska. That album is fantastic from beginning to end though, definitely worth getting. A few of my favorite tracks from it: "Highway Patrolman", "State Trooper", "My Father's House".

...sorry if it looked like I was saying "This Land Is Your Land"...was on Nebraska...

here is Mansion on the Hill...from the album Nebraska...

in the summer all the lights would shine...
...there'd be music playin'...people laughin' all the time
Me and my sister...we'd hide out in the tall cornfields...
...sit and listen to the mansion on the hill

...I really like the album...The Ghost of Tom Joad...as much...and maybe even a little better than Nebraska...

here is The Ghost of Tom Joad...

-------

now Tom said...Mom...wherever there's a cop beatin' a guy...
...wherever a hungry newborn baby cries
where there's a fight against the blood and hatred in the air...
...look for me Mom I'll be there
wherever there's somebody fightin' for a place to stand...
...or a decent job or a helpin' hand
wherever somebody's strugglin' to be free...
...look in their eyes Mom you'll see me
