Hey Guys
Thanks for downloading this. We started posting our stuff on forums to see what changes in terms of production could be made, and people seemed to like the music and were requesting it to be put on as a torrnet. So this is the e.p. to an album that has about 10 songs, the e.p. actually isn't even done yet, but its pretty much everything we want to say, the mixing still has a ways to go though. I hope you guys like it and who knows, maybe p2p will be our medium for getting our music heard!!! It would be the ultimate jab in the face to the music industry!!!
Much Love
Of The I
For the Audiophiles:
The band consists of 5 people, we are all students in London and we recorded this in our flat. I know the audio quality is still not the greatest but keep in mind this was made using a
Focusrite Trakmaster Pro Vocal preamp - for the guitars bass and vocals
Roland Td-20 - electronic drumset for recording the drums. We midi'd it into the soundcard and used Drumkit From Hell for the actual samples, the td-20 was just used as the midi triggering device that our drummer played on (cause the actual sounds on the bank suck donkey balls).
Groove Tubes Gt-66 - One of the better pieces of gear, we used it to mic the vocals, acoustic guitars, and some of the samples you hear.
We ran all the audio into the Tascam FW-1804 which firewired into the apple g5 using Logic Pro 7. We used mostly the Logic plug-ins but we had a few other good ones that came in handy. The BBE sonic maximizer is probably the single most valuable plug-in we have, it sounds really good on the master output and can give the mix a lot more warmth. We then quickly ran the mixes through T-Racks 24 which gave the mixes more of a crisp quality and also just brought up all the levels.
However the biggest problem was the fact that I was producing the album and I had no idea what i was doing, basically this album is me learning how to record music from scratch, so Im sure you guys are seeing a million things wrong with these mixes but I mean we dont have any monitor speakers so we are basically mixing on headphones and our home stereo. You know what? **** you for judging me, I hate all of you. ..............Im sorry, i didnt mean that. Im sure you are all really nice people, but seriously back off. Ive ruined the band....This is all too much, too much of a burden to bear. Im just going to end it all now, ive got one bullet left. So i guess this is my suicide note............. Wow,... you never really think about having a suicide note y'know? I mean once and a while you might think of what you would write on it, but you never really think of it as like a "To Do" thing y'know? I mean is it handwritten or should i just print one out, email it to everyone, it seems more convenient that way. **** the pen is out of ink. **** this **** you, **** everyone. Im outtie.
