I suppose Sonata Arctica can be fairly cheesy - listen to Letter to Dana and it'll probably give you a few laughs. I do like Winterheart's Guild though. I guess Sabaton is somewhat cheesy too.

But there is some other good power metal out there like Communic, Angra, Iced Earth, Hibria, Kamelot, Lost Horizon and Anubis Gate.

Then instead of rooting through a load of sonata arctica's ****, listen to the cage
