It's quite blatant and obvious isn't it...
I can't think of any other band that has so many punters at either end of the adore/hate spectrum, with very few sitting on or around the middle ground. And it doesn't take research to find this out, most people are pretty vocal about their stance on Tool, whichever end they're speaking from. LesP, I'm exactly the same with TMV, can appreciate them but just can't like or get into them.

NIN are awesome! All of their albums have plenty of gems (not so much the remix albums) The new album "Year Zero" comes out in April. Here are some sparkling gems that come to mind.
Pretty Hate Machine: Head like a hole Terrible Lie Something I can never have Ringfinger Broken: Wish Happiness in Slavery Gave Up The Downward Spiral: Piggy March of the pigs Closer The Becoming Reptile Hurt The Fragile: The Frail/The Wretched We're in this together The Fragile No, you don't The Great Below Into the void Please The Big come down With Teeth: The hand that feeds Only Getting Smaller The line begins to blur Right where it belongs

I didn't think that were much debate about this. Pretty Hate Machine is good but not really anything else.

Come on, you forgot "Big Man With A Gun" I still like NIN. They used to be my fav, but I was young and dumb at the time. I take NIN in small doses, but do still listen. Matt

Anyway, I love NIN. I think they're great. I've been a massive fan of the band for a long time now and my personal favorite album has been and still is The Downward Spiral. But yes, I do also think that NIN (and Tool..my fave band) are two bands that don't really have a middle ground when it comes to fans. Most people either love them or hate them...not to say that there is absolutely no one who might be in between, but for the most part that's how it is, methinks. Oh well, To each his own. Great live shows by the way ! |

Nine Inch Nails are phenomenal live. If you get a chance, go see them.
Anyways, I love Nine Inch Nails. I'm not a hardcore fan, but I'm in a high middle ground. Their new song "My Violent Heart" is fantastic. |

^Definitely. The two new songs that have been released are great! They remind me of something that could have been on The Downward Spiral. Very different from what was on With Teeth. New albums sounds promising.
