A Matter of Life and Death was a pretty good album. It had some great songs and some songs even showed a heavier and more progressive side to the band. My only beef with it though is that it is a bit overlong and still doesn't match their classic 80's material.

I`ve felt that as well with their three guitarists, maybe they should get rid of one of them, if its a case of last in first out then its Janick Gers who should go? It would be interesting to see what people think about the abilities of these three guitarist from such an influential band.

At 70 mins I agree, but it seems bands especially the older bands who are past their prime (or maybe the record companies) that they need to put out super long albums so people feel they`re getting their moneys worth. its not a bad ploy when the album is really good, but as most aren`t from these senior bands, then it becomes a real trial to sit through every song.
