Checking out their discography right now, Phantom of the Opera might be my new fav song by them

Definitely a Maiden fan. Dream of Mirrors, Brave New World, Blood Brothers, Hallowed Be Thy Name, Fear of the Dark...yeah, good stuff

Maiden were one of the first bands I ever got into quite heavily, and although I don't listen to them that much anymore, they are a great band.

I do watch their live dvd from 85 every so often though, damn those outfits!

Got a few of the albums: Piece Of Mind, Number of the beast, brave new world, seventh son..., dance of death, matters of life and death, killers and iron maiden.

I've always been meaning to see them live but never got around to it.

I've heard loads of bootlegs by them and I have to say I don't think i've ever heard of this band ever playing a bad gig.

I sold the first computer I ever owned (a commodore Vic 20) for a pair of Iron Maiden tickets. It was totally worth it. Accept was the opener which was a bonus too.

When I was 12 years old or so Iron Maiden were one of the only bands I listened to. I still like them although I don't listen to them near as much as I used to. I haven't even bought a maiden album since I was that age. My favorites are: Killers, Number of the Beast, and Piece of Mind. Powerslave and Seventh Son are also pretty good. Never cared for Brave New World, Dance of Death, or Somewhere in Time. I kind of regret never listening to their debut, might have to go get it. Favorite song? The first that comes to mind is The Trooper.

I just bought and watched Flight 666 the other day.

They are such an awesome live band, and Bruce ****inson might be the coolest person on the planet for flying them around. Heh.

I used to love this band in my younger days, I still enjoy them. And I have to say I prefer Paul to Bruce, sure Bruce can hit higher notes but Paul had a nice gritter voice.

Even now, they are worth seeing live. Of course I can't compare their live performances over the last few years to their live performances in the early 80's because I wasn't born til '84 but I can compare their live sets now to a lot of other bands who have been around a similar length of time and I haven't seen any band quite like Maiden.

Seeing them do a set comprising of material from only the first four albums a few years back was fantastic for someone like me who thought I would never hear them perform some of those songs. Truly one of the best live sets I have ever seen.
