I wouldn't bother, as the '98 remasters have a pretty horrible mastering. They were what got me into Maiden, but even back then I remember my ears hurting at times, especially when listening to "Somewhere in Time". Find earlier CD releases instead, in whatever way you think is worth it.

Former Iron Maiden Vocalist Paul Di
The ramblings of a sad, past it, desperate, angry, delusional old twat. 'Iron Maiden' and 'Killers' were great records, and I think Paul had a great voice at that time, I'm a fan of that era of the band, but to those who even begin to suggest that Iron Maiden should have stuck with him rather than replace him with Bruce Dicksinson I say "LOL". |

I agree with this 100%. My impression of DiAnno even back then was that he was a talented turd. |

What I know about Di'Anno I've learned over the last ten years. So to be fair, I knew of Iron Maiden as the band with Bruce on vocals and then went back and listened to those first two albums. However, while some of my mates always slagged him off, I liked Paul. I liked those albums. I still do.
Still, Iron Maiden have, in my opinion, grown old gracefully. In recent years they have managed to both retain credibility and somewhat reinvent themselves commercially and make a new generation of Iron Maiden fans. They have remained relevant, to their absolute credit. Paul Di'Anno's career is a polar opposite and he has grown old anything but gracefully. Put aside for a moment the homophobic comments, which are bad enough, but it's been thirty years and he still seems a bitter man. "I dont sing opera, and I'm not a ballerina". What does that even mean? If he wants to remain bitter and attempt to demean the man who replaced him, a better singer, and a better man, at least make some ****ing sense. I'm sure "Bruce Dickinson!" heckles from his audiences do get old and are frustrating for him, and it's far from original, but reacting the way he does paints a very bitter, jealous picture of a man living in the past. Time to get over it, Paul. |

That's how a lot of comedians deal with hecklers as well, they belittle them and make them feel uncomfortable so they shut the **** up. I doubt he's all that bitter, he made two albums with Iron Maiden and that's more than most people can say. He probably doesn't care much for the band, he probably doesn't like Bruce Dickinson to say the least, but honestly can you blame him for any that? Especially when someone like this shows up to YOUR show and tries to get you to react, I'd be ****ing pissed too. He's making a decent living just because he used to be the lead vocalist for Iron Maiden though, I seriously doubt that he's miserable and consumed by his hatred for Bruce. Think about it. With that said, Iron Maiden kicks a lot of ass. Their first two albums are good, and most everything at that was at least alright if not excellent. Number Of The Beast, Powerslave and Piece of Mind have always been favorites. |

Whats wrong with what? Whats wrong with calling a heckler a cock sucking mother****er?
Whats wrong with calling a heckler a *aggot? Whats wrong with telling a heckler that you'll rip their head off and **** down their neck? Whats wrong with calling Bruce Dickinson gay? I already said above that heckling the man like that gets old and must be frustrating for him, but the way he reacts does not flatter him. |
