I didn't really care for it when it first came out, but it has definitely grown on me. It's perhaps their most...mature(?) record yet, but as far as latter day Iron Maiden goes, Brave New World still takes the cake.

I was also going to ask, what are people's opinions on The Final Frontier. Personally, I thought it was great from start to finish.

A lot if not all their post-2000 albums are pretty damn good.

You’re missing quite a treat if you haven’t heard Seventh Son of a Seventh Son. In a way it’s a continuation from Somewhere in Time, except more proggy and epic, including their most epic song yet and one of their greatest, the 10 minute title track. This is the kind of masterpiece that bands that aren’t Maiden can only dream of creating…
You won’t be disappointed.

i'm familiar with 7th son of a 7th son, my mistake, i meant the ones after that

i have heard all of Bruce-era stuff, it's just the albums after that i don't really concentrate as i'm listening to them

I should have added Bruce to my favorite vocalists list. He's definitely kept it going through the years. Never a disappointment.

Depends on what you want, the gruff raspy voice of Di'Anno is special but Bruce gave them the arena metal sound that they wanted and also earnt the band a fortune.

Granted, Dickenson has a better vocal range, and took them to a new level. Just yeah, I like the rawness of Di'Anno, the punk inspired sound he brought. He may not be a contender for best vocalist of all-time or anything. But there was something about "The Soundhouse Tapes", "Iron Maiden" and "Killers" that makes me wanna go back to it more than I do "Number of the Beast" and onwards.

Will always be a Di'Anno fan before Dickenson. Though I admit the latters talent.
