Default Heatmiser

Described as a punk/grunge band I don't think they really are. I mean they have elements but they're kind of soft rock, they have some acoustic stuff and some of it reminds me of the Goo Goo Dolls (Dizzy Up The Girl not the new stuff.)

Anyway they're a really sick band. I have Cop And Speeder, Dead Air, Mic City Sons and Yellow No. 5, i'll post a link to one if anyone wants anymore give me a shout.

I just uploaded two tracks to preview, Plainclothes man is acoustic based Busted Lip isn't.

I've heard them a while back but didn't think they were interesting enough to merit a second listen. Maybe I just didn't hear the right songs though...they were grunge-ish and dull. I think they would be worth checking out anyway because that band is where Elliott Smith got his start before he went solo.

Some of the song are bland, others are not. Check out plainclothes man anyway, elliott should've recorded that solo it would've been one of his best songs.

There pretty good, I can clearly say they aren't grunge but at times have traces of it but not entirely a grunge band. A solid band overall.

I've just downloaded Busted Lip, and it's pretty damn cool.

Thanks Crowquill, that song's really on par with the best stuff from his first few albums. I think it would have fit nicely on Either/Or

Mic City Sons seems a pretty strong album. I agree it doesn't really ring of grunge or punk at all.
