what you think of girl rock bands, or more than one girl init?

Lovely stuff. Music shouldn't be a male dominated thing, especially not rock. Women are playing a big part in the development of other forms of music, I think rock is missing out on really strong female characters, which is an awful shame.

I think it's great. Evanescence and Auf Der Maur rock!
I'm gonna be a girl rocker when I'm older.

T.A.T.U wasnt a band they were a gimmick.

Girl bands are an excellent thing and something I'd like to see alot more of in the years to come.

im not really keen on girl rock bands its not cos im sexist its just this whole girl power thing.like i really hate it when people say 'girl power'.or do something just to make a statement.the only bands that i actually like with girls in are the Pixies and the Von Bondies.

Girl rockers are awesome. Alanis is awesome. So is Auf du Maur. I agree T.A.T.U was a gimmick. They sucked anyway.

the way i see it, who give a **** who is in the band, its the sound that is the main thing. so chick bands are cool, if i like their stuf

Garbage IMO is the best girl band, their recent album is awesome.

i dnt care if theres like one girl in a band, but if there is an all girl metal band, i probly wont like them because it just seems like they try to hard to prove males wrong.

I dont like it when they sing. A female vocalists in a metal band just doesnt sound good to me. If she is playing an instrument and keeps her mouth shut, all the power to her, but I dont like women singers in general. Maybe Im sexist, but I doubt it, seeing as I am a female myself.

I think that girls in bands are great dosn't matter if she's playing an instrument or just singing. Kittie are all girl band and they are heavy but sweet. THe Christina chick from Lacuna Coil is a great singer and she's f666ing hot.

I like amy-lee from evanescence, and brody dalle from the distillers, shirley manson from garbage is good too, she looks great for her age (38).

I dont know what I think of girl rock bands... I dont really think of them any different just because theyre girls. Obviously they sound different if its a girl vocalist, but.. If I like the sound, I like the sound. If I dont, its nothing to do with it being a girl.

In fact, if anything, I personally prefer female vocals overall. Most of the bands I listed earlier happen to be among my favorite bands.

I'm not in a girl rock band, but I play drums in a band. But I don't think girl rock bands differ much from guy/mixed bands really......

dear dear janis joplin is one of the greatest rockers,no guy has ever matched her voice forget bout gals......those who shout gal power are ****heads but the point is u hav it doesnt matter u r a gal or a guy........i heard once donnas on TV..........they suck big time.......they are just one step ahead of spice gals

kittie otep and lacuna coil kick ass girls in rock is a good thing because they can scream better than the guys and there voices are kick ass

the chick from otep has one of the strongest voices i've heard. It took me while to learn it was chick.

I think what matters about a band is thier sound....like can they play thier instruments? Are thier lyrics well written? These things matter...gender of the band shouldn't because I've heard great "female" bands and crappy ones, but I've also heard great "male" bands and crappy ones. Get it?

i dont consider bands like garbage, the yeahs yeah yeahs, the pixies etc as girl bands? how can they be when only 1/4 is a girl? the breeders (kim deal is cool) and le tigre are my favourite "girl" bands. the donnas need to burn for their music though.
