I like amy-lee from evanescence, and brody dalle from the distillers, shirley manson from garbage is good too, she looks great for her age (38).

I dont know what I think of girl rock bands... I dont really think of them any different just because theyre girls. Obviously they sound different if its a girl vocalist, but.. If I like the sound, I like the sound. If I dont, its nothing to do with it being a girl.

In fact, if anything, I personally prefer female vocals overall. Most of the bands I listed earlier happen to be among my favorite bands.

I'm not in a girl rock band, but I play drums in a band. But I don't think girl rock bands differ much from guy/mixed bands really......

dear dear janis joplin is one of the greatest rockers,no guy has ever matched her voice forget bout gals......those who shout gal power are ****heads but the point is u hav it doesnt matter u r a gal or a guy........i heard once donnas on TV..........they suck big time.......they are just one step ahead of spice gals

kittie otep and lacuna coil kick ass girls in rock is a good thing because they can scream better than the guys and there voices are kick ass

the chick from otep has one of the strongest voices i've heard. It took me while to learn it was chick.

I think what matters about a band is thier sound....like can they play thier instruments? Are thier lyrics well written? These things matter...gender of the band shouldn't because I've heard great "female" bands and crappy ones, but I've also heard great "male" bands and crappy ones. Get it?
