I'm not a big fan of Jane's Addiction.
and i don't think Dave navarro is anything special as a guitarist. I've seen them at lollaplooza before and they can play an ok show. When I looked over at the crowd grouped around the main stage none of them were sleep so I guess they're not dull live.

I'm gonna have to disagree with the overall consensus of this thread and call Jane's Addiction one of the best bands to grace this earth since 1985.
If I were to suggest some Jane's Addiction tunes to start out, I'd go with "Jane Says", "The Mountain Song" and "Three Days". Although you should just go out and buy Ritual de lo Habitual because it's a great record.
