Strait Ahead

You know, I dig my alt/indie bands and I love the down and dirty blues, but these days i think im lacking something, and that something in strait ahead rock bands that I havn't heard before.

Im missing a new Ac/Dc. I know there are a ton of "hard" bands out there, but they try to come off as serious, sensitive, intelligent or a combo of any of that.

Wheres the bands like Van Halen (who I can't stand) that just threw out a good riff and wrote thinly veiled songs about ****ing women...are there any suggestions. I mean all I kinda have these days are clutch and the drive-by truckers but each of them are getting played out on my iTunes and clutch will get too aggressive and DBT will get too sappy.

(this was supposed to be a "whats out there for strait ahead rock" thread)

Big3, I'll introduce you to Brought Low. I'd class them as a modern day ACDC. They sing without too much aggresion, but aren't pushovers eather, just that solid rock attitude and they have some solid riffs and are an alround tight unit.

I have their self-titled if you are really interested, but in the mean time heres their website.

If you go to the sounds section I think you can listen to "What I Found" and "Goddamn God Bless". Both are some of the better songs on the album.
