Fall Out Boy, Panic! at the Disco, Simple Plan, Linkin Park, Good Charlotte, Green Day and some other crap bands.
Hell would freeze over before you can get me to listen to these groups. And fangirls are more annoying than fanboys. |

I'll say one thing: I don't think a band's annoying fanbase should really be something for anybody to get pissed off at. The attitude of holding those sorts of fans in contempt, more often than not, will get in the way of enjoying the band and its music: if you listen to the music with the hate of the fans in mind, you'll automatically "try" to find something you dislike in the music itself.
In more extreme situations, you actually get music "critics" purposely degrading, ridiculing and even insulting the music of a band simply as part of a vendetta against the fans and for the sake of flamebaiting. How many people hate Pantera and Tool, for example, without ever even having given their music a PROPER try? Many haters should ask themselves such questions in earnest. My two cents. |

And I would always hear that from opeth fans. Hence, my response about them having too many fanboys.

^That's what I hate. The one genre that I listen to the most (hardcore/metal) has all these fans that think is cool and entertaining to swing their arms around and spin kick the side of the pit. They practically make a point of trying to hurt the people who aren't in the pit. It's not going to stop me from seeing the bands I like....but it has definitely ruined the fun that moshing once was to me.
As for fanboy ridden bands....Every Time I Die seems to have a lot of them. As well as Job For A Cowboy, Trivium, Norma Jean and Bury Your Dead, if we're talking bands that fit somwhere under "metal". There are plenty of mainstream crap bands (Scary Kids Scaring Kids, Silverstein) that have a huge fanbase of annoying 13 year olds who think they are the best band ever (thats pretty much my defiinition of fanboy), but not all of them fit into the metal genre anywhere.

I came across the All American Rejects site a few years ago. They had special fan contests, where the fans had to show who was the biggest fan. It was awfull, all the contributions, and the tempels people had built in their rooms for them.
It made me want to cry. I did.

I've been to two Tool shows this year and the first one was ruined by three idiots sitting next to me and my girl. All they could talk about was great this song is and how much better of a band Tool is compared to anything else, yada yada yada. The second show was better as I took some acid and enjoyed a great light show! Tool faboys are the worst I've encountered.
