Default Is real rock dead???

When was the last time anyone was a big breakthrough act? There seems to be a real shortage of bands that actually have some hair on their balls!!! GRrrr!!! I find it so frustrating!! I wrote a whole blog about it on my blogspot. check it out if u like!

This.

"popular" music, is being pushed out from whatever is left of major labels. They are milking it.

Rock, and its many sub-genres, has a great and strong underground community now.

Long live rock and roll!

Actually a good deal of modern bands have a Zep inspired sound, like The Mars Volta and The White Stripes, which many Zep fans dispise for reasons unknown to me.

As for Rock N Roll, I'm a fan of the very kind of "pompous, overblown" music that elitist R&R fans dispise, I don't really give a rats ass if Rock N Roll dies or not, heres hoping it does.

Just because mediocore sellouts aren't popping up everywhere doesn't mean there isn't good new music.

Real rock aint dead, its in a coma

just cause you cant find the big name groups that where famous for the rock nature doesnt mean that its dead, most of those groups play in clubs and such now so its far from dead

No, thanks. I've wasted enough time looking at this thread.

^ Ha.

Yeah, I can't see how you could come to that conclusion bubbins. You'll find that rock music is alive and well, but you gotta look properly.
