Wow...I know this thread is old, but here I was all this time thinking this band was halfway decent. What's with all the Blue October hate? Nu-metal? They definitely fall in the pop-rock category.
May not be too popular here, but they're pretty good in my book. I suppose I can understand the disliking of "Hate Me" though. That one was played into the ground something fierce. Anyway, here are some of my favorites, love 'em or hate 'em: And yes, I like "Into the Ocean". Sue me.

It was "Into The Ocean" that I was referring to in my first post in this thread. It was just so overplayed it turned me off of Blue October.
But I actually like their new CD Approaching Normal. I have an emotional connection to that CD especially "Say It". Sometimes albums come out that mirror what is going on in your life at the time, and Approaching Normal is one of those albums. And I didn't realize they did "Calling You" which I heard it years ago. I like that song too.

Well, they're not as bad as Papa Roach, but I suppose that's just me being civil and kindhearted.
