Their 1996 album Through Silver in Blood is widely considered a seminal classic for sludge metal and a progenitor to what would later be called post-metal (bands like ISIS, Cult of Luna, etc.) and is a great starting point. Their followup album, Times of Grace (1999) was a worthy successor, but for whatever reason A Sun That Never Sets (2001) has always been my favorite by them. Their next few never really captured that same energy, but were still pretty decent. Fire Within Fires (2016) is a very lean album by them, with only 5 tracks and a 40 min playtime, which I think actually suits the band quite nicely as there are no lengthy gaps devoid of music.

Times of Grace might just be the sludgiest album of all time.

I'll check that dictionary, but in the meantime I'm impressed - as is everyone else in the world - by your eloquence, obvious accomplishments and success, and the evidence of your blazingly high intelligence.

1. Enemy of the Sun
2. Through Silver in Blood
3. Souls at Zero
4. Times of Grace/A Sun that Never Sets tie
5. Fires Within Fires
6. The Eye of Every Storm
7. Honor Found in Decay
8. Given to the Rising

I love their first two more than anyone else ever apparently but they still can't match up

Me too.

I like the Unsane better but I’m not exactly sure why I feel inclined to compare the two. Mental illness names?
