Yes, but many people consider metal a subgenre of rock - but it's really far too big and varied to be a subgenre of it.

Nevertheless, there is a fair bit of crossover and the ideals of rock and metal singers are often similar/same, and so many rock/metal vocalists are comparable.

Oh I know. I was referring to all the "Cornell?!?!" comments. And if snickers isn't on acid, perhaps he should adjust his tampon. *puts retarded smileyface here*

No matter how much I adjust any tampon won't stop the flow of blood that Cornell's lyrical hacking creates.

Don't trust anything that bleeds for 7 days, and doesn't die.

Stop sucking KISS's conglomerate penis and realize that none of the members are talented.

Every time you don't mention Ronnie James Dio, I die a little inside.

I really love John Wetton's voice when he sings for King Crimson, especially on the album "Red." Haven't heard anything outside of KC by him, but I love how he leans with such casual intensity into the lyrics, it's like he's daring them not to be sung like he wants.

I love Maynard James Keenan. His voice is angelic at times and aggressive at times. And I love that. Some of the notes he hits give me goosebumps.
