I have tried, but unfortunately, I have never been able to like Pantera. Some songs like Hollow, Cemetary Gates, Walk, etc. are good, but 90% of their stuff does absolutely nothing for me.
Its not so much that I can't get into them as the fact that they are boring, as most thrash bands are (Except for Megadeth and Metallica). So yeah, they are a bit overrated. Still respect them though. |

its thrash bro, not trash. well, that's your preferences. we cant do anything to that, can we? Hollow was pretty good, as well as those songs you've said. but my favorite song would be Cowboys from Hell. oh well...
Respect.. now that wouldnt be overrated bro! cheerz! |

Yeah, Vulgar Display of Power is a pretty good album. The 3 note riff in Walk drags on for too long, but the solo is pretty good.
Yes I know that they use Exhorder's style and I don't care. Exhorder is great thrash and so is Pantera.

I dont like a lot of music that comes from the genre Pantera does..but taht doesnt mean it doesnt have talent..it just means it not for me..BUT..I LOVE Pantera..these is just something about the guitar riffs and Phil's voice that I love jamming to.

My vote went to Projects in the Jungle.
I tend to have a preference for their earlier albums than their later albums.

Si, overrated is a little harsh. Vulgar of Power is probably the best.
