Yeah, whenever pantera was mentioned. No one cared about him before he died. I read the magazine and have been for awhile, when he was mentioned he was respected, yeah but they didn't freak out and mention him every issue like they do now.

That happens to everyone... Dosent mean you should insult an artist because of that reason, if so, then i hope you don't mind if i start trashing John Lennon.

I don't know why Dimebag gets so much flak nowadays. He's a ****ing great guitarist.

I hate most of the new crop of Pantera fans that popped up as soon as Dimebag died. I like Pantera but I hate them. I like Nirvana, but I hate the Kurt Cobain obsessors.

Thats a fair prospective, I share those exact veiws.

I loved Pantera and Dimebag long before the guy died, and I thought he was great before it became trendy to do so. He did a sweet cover of Hendrix's Little Wing.

I don't think it's fair to bash him just because some magazines suddenly shine the limelight on him. It's not like the guy asked for it.

I used to listen to Pantera all the time, and think they were probably one of my favorite metal bands. I got a chance to see DamagePlan on tour with Slayer 2 years ago, and they put on a great show. I am not a Dimebag fanatic; he was a solid guitarist, but there are better guitarists out there.
