I put this in the sharing thread about a week back but I thought it would be nice if this NZ group had their own thread.

These guys have been putting out quality since 1988 and have had major success in several countries. They're an alternative rock group, a lot of their heavier stuff gets close to eather punk metal, or just simply hard rock. They have a softer side too, and a lot of their material over the years has had a pop-rock feel to it.

Theres something for everyone in this band. Crowquill and the likes of might enjoy the heavier stuff, while Urban and the Brit-pop crew will probably like the softer material. The album above is their latest release, it was apparently the first time in a long time they've felt like a tight unit together in the studio.

Please download the album, it's only 36megs or something, you might be suprised

The General Electric is the fourth album to be released by New Zealand bandShihad, in 1999. The songs "Wait And See", "Just Like Everybody Else" and "Spacing" all were on previous releases, and were re-recorded for the album. "Wait And See" and "Spacing" were on the Blue Light Disco EP and "Just Like Everybody Else" was featured on their single for the track "Bitter", which was taken off of their album Killjoy. "My Mind's Sedate", "The General Electric" and "Pacifier" were all used as singles. "Sport And Religion" was released to radio, and had a video made, but was not officially a single. A bonus disc is available with later versions of The General Electric that included live tracks from the 2000 Big Day Out festival and four music videos.
