But I've found that it's pointless to argue about. You either love them or you hate them.
that's not true... I think they're alright.

Ok, ok... but generally speaking, and this is with any band, if you like them, you like them. If you don't, you don't. It's a waste of time trying to convince other people that a band is good or if they suck. In my opinion, if someone can change your liking of a band, you were not a true fan to start with.
I'm done rambling now. But are you smelling what I'm cooking?

I see what you are saying... it's the use of the words "love" and "hate" that I don't agree with. I think it's possible to like a few songs from a particular band without loving/liking that band.

I like Rage but only in small doses.
Tom Morello and the music itself is great IMO but Zach de la Rocha's voice gets on my nerves after a while.

I cannot decide if the first or The Battle of Los Angeles is their best album. Yes I am a fan. I think their music is very distinct and produced brilliantly. It is their actual sound as much as anything. Everything is so muscular and well defined. La Rocha's voice is not the best but tracks such as Sleep Now In The Fire and Know your Enemy have so much energy.

I like all of their albums, they all have a very different feel so I can't really choose between them. That includes Renegades which is like, the best covers album ever? (or possibly the only one I've heard)

I agree with their production being grade A. That's the first thing I really appreciated about Rage was how well produced they were.

"Sleep now in the fire" is an awesome song, I need to download it.. haven't heard it in a while.

Renegades has a couple of tracks that I don't like-Maggies Farm for example but Pistol Grip Pump and Renegades Of Funk are fucking bad arse!
