I'm just an obstinate fucker! Apart from Maggies Farm, we both like RATM and we both like Yeasayer-can't say fairer than that!

It is their actual sound as much as anything. Everything is so muscular and well defined. La Rocha's voice is not the best but tracks such as Sleep Now In The Fire and Know your Enemy have so much energy.

The Battle of Los Angeles was their most overated album in my opinion...I used to love Evil Empire though.

The debut has better songs overall, but the production is a little more polished in my view compared to Battle, which has a slightly 'dirty' production for want of a better word and that is why I can never separate them.

I used to be a huge Rage fan, gave them up a long time ago though. I will say that Evil Empire is their second best album. Self-titled is of course the best and BOLA is third. Renegades is fourth by default since it is a covers album.

Anyway, I have seen Tom Morello live three times, twice even when I didn't like RATM any more (Still a Tom fan). Saw him twice as the Nightwatchman, and once on the Axis of Justice Tour this year. Got the setlist at one of his shows to. He always puts on a good show despite his folk music being awful.

I have to say Renegades get's my number one favorite album, than Battle, than their self titled and finally Evil Empire. I was kinda disappointed by Evil Empire a bit.

I should imagine a few of you have never heard Morello's first band Lock Up? Dated to say the least and yes I did buy it way back then!

Yeh, their one album was called Something Bitchin' This Way Comes...lol.

I knew someone who actually had a physical copy of the album and had Tom sign it for them. They said he laughed his ass off when he saw it.

It was a tough choice. I picked Renegades first because it has more of my favorite songs on their. Than Battle because Guerilla Radio was the first song I ever heard from there and I would nonstopped listen to it. It was close though, all the albums are very good, I like the hip hop flavor in the metal sound it was close.
