which album do you lot think is better between mesmerize and hypnotize

i think its a close call for me as i love every song on each record but i think because of the overall feel to the record i'd say mesmerize

i like how the two albums tie in together though

Well, I said it before, but I reckon Mesmerize is pretty hard to beat. I haven't heard Hypnotize but I know Mesmerize sits pretty nicely for me as far as SOAD go.

agreed my learned friend, i downloaded both today and yesterday and i would have to say that hypnotize isn't even close to mezmerise.......oh well, mezmerise is good enough for me, amazing album.....
Edit: who ever said vicinity of obscenity is a good song, it's arguably the worst song on the album....it's a complete joke....i've listened to the entire album and quite franky, i haven't heard a single song that grabbed me as being excellent ( maybe lonely day ), which is surprising seeing as how the entire mezmerise album is excellent....i think i definetly won't be buying this one....mezmerise yes, this one no....and quite franky, i'm starting to get a bit annoyed that that second guy is getting more and more lead vocals, serj has a fantastic voice.....is that other dude writing the songs or summat? so he dictates who sings it? that would be a bit dissapointing, if serj was just the singer.....

Daron has a great voice to sing on the songs with as does Serj
I think thatit is great that they are sharing the vocals
It gives the songs some more variation and could arguably be SOAD at their best
And i didn't like vicinity of obscenity the first time i heard it but love it now
It really grows on you and i can't wait to go crazy when they perform it next year. I'll be right down the front as i was this year taking every moment in and having the time of my life

i've just found out that Daron Malakian plans possibly to do a solo record that leans towards electronic music after all the touring finishes for Hypnotize/Mesmerize
But he says it does not mean System Of A Down are over

I don't think that it was a point of "fitting" them together, man!!!It's most likely the fact that they wrote a "collection" of songs that ended up being so many that they could make 2 albums with 'em(?)!!! They don't have to necessarily have the same "themes" to them, ya know?

Well, I believe they aren't playing the heavy stuff for singles because the radio only wants to play their most "pop" type stuff(?)!!! The radio usually prefers to play the "pop" type clean songs, rather than the great heavy/dirty rockers, ya know?Of course it's a damn shame!!! those basstards!!!
