I'm not sure what I said previously in this thread but as for my opinion on which band is better...I say System of a Down. I don't exactly like either of the bands, but SOAD have much more originality going for them. Even so, their singers voice annoys the hell out of me, and the way they've been writing songs lately isn't impressive. Static-X however, are just plain crap. It almost seems like they go out of their way to prove that they don't have talent. A majority of their songs are the same recycled, synthesized, bump-bump beat with a slightly differring riff for each song. How they got to be so big beats the hell out of me. Their latest attempt at music was possibly their biggest failure, and proof that while some bands get better with age, many get worse.
