I agree with what he said, but in his comments towards the people who replied, he just reminded me of Kashmir.

1. They didn't join a Liberal bandwagon. They've been leftists for as long as I can remember.

2. Green Day never released an album called, "Jesus Of Suburbia". He must be referring to "American Idiot", an album released long after SOAD were on the so-called 'Liberal Bandwagon'. Talk about an American Idiot.

3. "I feel like every band in the world seems its cool to be liberal." That does not make sense.

4. "Bush and the Republicans are doing a bad job" is just an extended version of "Bush sucks. Republicans suck." It's a bit hypocritical to bitch at people for saying that Bush and the Republicans suck, then agreeing that Bush and the Republicans are doing a bad job. It means the same fucking thing.

5. "Besides the horribly original title." This guy either cannot string a sentence together properly, or his sarcasm is hardly sensible.

6. "the lyrics are anti-republican shit that is nonsensical." First off, that sentence is nonsensical. Second, the lyrics do make sense. Third, they're not anti-Republican.

7. "Trying to relate our government to the Nazi's doesn't work." Oh, trust me, it can.

8. "They are usually in their 40's and 50's." Well boo-fucking-hoo. Everyone else has to work until they're 65.

9. "They do more important things like run the country." The army is just as important as the President is. Especially a guy like Bush. What the hell would he do without an army? Take even longer vacations, I suppose.

10. "You know you have insecurity when you have to tell people that you have a big penis." You know you're lyrically incompetent when you're unable to recognize metaphors and satire.

11. "Emo much?" No, not at all. Calling System Of A Down emo is like calling Tool synth-pop (unless you're talking about that horrendous "Lonely Day" song).

12. "If screaming into a microphone was cool, SOAD would be a good band." If unwittingly ranting about a good band was cool, this guy would be the ultramodern Tony fucking Iommi.

Don't like this band. Never have, don't ever expect I will.
I've never liked his voice, and I never thought they sounded great musically either.

Carry on.

I don't find a "political agenda" anywhere in these lyrics, and this song makes me feel hate and anger over the issues being discussed, so you really MUST be a twat, since you don't see this. I'm doing a piece on political content within music, with reference to System, and they write much more than just average "hate America" anthems. (actually, are quite an intellectual lot, see www.systemofadownonline.com psychological assessments of the members) And the reason that songs like BYOB and Hypnotize went so mainstream is that Violent Pornography, Vicinity/Obscenity, they were unfit for radioplay.*and Hypnotize was kinda crap. Again, I see no politics in those examples either. People who like SOAD should look into Serart, and those who are cool people should check them out too, b/c it illustrates my point. Plus its just kewl, random tribal style drumming & chanting, sry, have no links tho k, I'm done ranting...

Do you even know what political agenda means? Lets look at the words, of, or relating to or dealing with the structure or affairs of goverment, politics or the state and a list of programs or things to be done or considered. Therefore, political agenda means something a list of programs/things to be done/considered involving goverment, politics or the state. Now, lets look at BYOB.

WHY DO THEY ALWAYS SEND THE POOR!
Barbarisms by Barbaras
With pointed heels.
Victorious, victories kneel.
For brand new spankin' deals.
Marching forward hypocritic
And hypnotic computers.
You depend on our protection,

Yet you feed us lies from the table cloth.
La la la la la la la la la,
Everybody’s going to the party have a real good time.
Dancing in the desert blowing up the sunshine.

Kneeling roses disappearing,
Into Moses’ dry mouth,
Breaking into Fort Knox,
Stealing our intentions,
Hangars sitting dripped in oil,
Crying FREEDOM!

Handed to obsoletion,
Still you feed us lies from the table cloth.
La la la la la la la la la,
Everybody’s going to the party have a real good time.
Dancing in the desert blowing up the sunshine.
Everybody’s going to the party have a real good time.
Dancing in the desert blowing up the sunshine.

Blast off, it's party time,
And we don't live in a fascist nation,
Blast off, it's party time,
And where the **** are you?
….. Yeah
Where the **** are you?
Where the **** are you?

Why don’t presidents fight the war?
Why do they always send the poor?
Why don’t presidents fight the war?
Why do they always send the poor? [X4]

Kneeling roses disappearing,
Into Moses’ dry mouth,
Breaking into Fort Knox,
Stealing our intentions,
Hangars sitting dripped in oil,
Crying FREEDOM!

Handed to obsoletion,
Still you feed us lies from the tablecloth.
La la la la la la la la la,
Everybody’s going to the party have a real good time.
Dancing in the desert blowing up the sunshine.
Everybody’s going to the party have a real good time.
Dancing in the desert blowing up the sunshine.

Where the **** are you!
Where the **** are you!

Why don’t presidents fight the war?
Why do they always send the poor?
Why don’t presidents fight the war?
Why do they always send the poor? [X3]
Why, do, they always send the poor [X3]
They only send the poor [x2]

As stupid as those lyrics are, yes they're trying to get us to consider something that is political. Therefore political agenda, same goes for your lyrics. They have a political agenda.
