Default New S.O.A.D pre-release

There's a new track off System's upcoming cd called B.Y.O.B. If anyone else has heard it then what do you think of it?...It's the first single from the 2 disc set "Mezmerize/Hypnotize." They are going to release the discs seperatley. Mezmerize will be in stores May 17, and Hyptonize will be released around late fall... This song is like nothing SOAD has done before. I really think that they are experimenting new things with this stuff. I think a lot of fans will be thrown off a little by this single, but thats not always a bad thing. The song questions a president's involvement in the business of war. It balances a near-R&B groove - "Everybody's going to the party have a real good time/Dancing in the desert blowing up the sunshine" - with the song's recurring demand, "Why don't presidents fight the war?/Why do they always send the poor?/Why do they always send the poor?"

I looked for downloads on the internet but lost interest in searching so I just downloaded it off Limewire.

its really good! i'm at a loss for adjectives right now, but yeah, it seems their sphere of musical influences has really ballooned. can't wait to hear more.

The decision to release the two discs six months apart was made simply to give fans time to get into and really live with the music from Disc One before plunging into Disc Two.

Ok fair enough, but when kiss would release two discs a year they were never assigned the title "double disc." And Kiss, like AC/DC had a sound so similar across the board you might be able to say they had one 14 disc album.

lol......System wrote some thirty tracks for "Mezmerize/Hypnotize" and recorded them at their producers studio between June and November of 2004......So if they wrote and recorded all the songs at the same time...then that probably allows them to call it a double disc. That's just my idea from what I've heard about it. That situation differentiates it a little from the whole AC/DC and Kiss thing.
